Industrial Arts Brewing Company was founded in 2016 and continues to grow. We operate a 70,000 sq ft purpose built state of the art facility in Beacon, NY with a 100 hL custom brewhouse and a modern, flexible and efficient packaging line. We built our business on our great beer, but have now moved beyond beer and are proud of our variety of non-alcoholic products including non-alc beer and hemp-infused beverages. We pride ourselves on our quality, efficiency and focus on Food Safety including maintaining our current Good Manufacturing Practices certification. Part-Time Positions at Industrial Arts Brewing Company:

Industrial Arts is growing!  We’ve been making a lot of exciting moves since opening our Beacon Taproom in 2019. Now, not only do people get to drink our dynamic selection of beer right at the source, but we are adding a permanent food truck and amping up our weekly live entertainment and events. We want to be the destination brewery for visitors and the third place for our Beacon neighbors. We are looking for an addition to our team that will help us achieve this and level the experience up!

Food Runner/ Barback    

Hourly, Non-Exempt

Reports to the General Manager of Hospitality


Compensation:

$20/hour  

Anticipated schedule:

The barback/food runner hours will be scheduled for roughly 20 hours per week during our hospitality hours, including our special events and live music.

Main job duties

Enhance the customer experience by assisting in set up, clean up, and service

  • Act as primary contact between the bartenders and the kitchen

  • Deliver food to customers and ensure they receive the correct order and are happy with their meal and service while ensuring we are meeting food safety standards

  • Bus tables - discard trash, clean up floor around tables, return dirty glassware to bar

  • Help stock the bar and cold box including handling kegs and cases of canned beer.  Make sure to maintain First-In-First-Out.

  • Refill condiments, load and unload dishwasher, polish glassware

  • Fold T-shirts and organize merchandise shelving

  • Manage garbage and recycling, including hauling to dumpster

  • Clean bathrooms

  • Manage the door for ticketed events including handling cash and using a handheld credit card POS, and checking IDs

 Requirements:

  • 21 years or older

  • The ability to multitask and focus on various tasks at once

  • Communication skills, this position will require being a conduit between the tasting room and the food truck 

  • The ability to spend most of their shift standing/ being on your feet. 

  • The ability to lift 35 pounds.
